Train Beach Club:

Case Study

Promising Dubai’s first fitness-inspired beach club, Train Beach Club opened its doors at La Mer in August 2019. Pulse Middle East was approached by Train Beach Club to integrate their audiovisual and lighting systems across all zones.

Building around innovation

Technology installation and integration

Fitness Gym

Inside the club’s state-of-the-art fitness gym, our team strategically installed;

  • 8 pieces of Turbusound NUQ8 speakers

  •  7 Turbusound NUQ6 speakers

  • 6 Turbusound NUQ115B subwoofers, to ensure excellent audio coverage.

B-First and Yoga Studio

In the B-First Boxing and yoga studio, the Pulse team installed;

  • 8 Vision VIPER 150 wash/beam LED moving heads

  • Martin Audio CDD6 speakers

  • two Turbosound NUQ 115B subwoofers.

The studio has a dedicated tablet for audio and lighting control, as well as a wireless microphone for boxing and yoga instructors.

Fitness restaurant

Inside Fitness restaurant, Pulse team installed;

  • 6 Martin Audio Blackline X8 speakers

  • 2 ceiling suspended dual 12” Martin Audio CSX212 subwoofers

Lounge and outdoor pool zones

To achieve a flawless systems integration in the lounge, the Vision lighting is controlled from Visual Productions Cutey LPU2 at the lounge. The lounge audio system on two floors is providing exceptional coverage and proper high SPL “loungy” volumes with Martin Audio’s six CDD 10”, 4 CDD8”, and two double 12” CSX212 subwoofers suspended from the ceiling.

For the pool area, Pulse is using TW Audio’s T20i Horn Loaded speaker system to fire across the lengthy pool with a surround of Martin Audio’s CDD12’s, 10’s and 8’s to fill the corners. All speakers across the system are powered from Powersoft Quattrocanali and Octocanalli amplifiers. Upon having a large event, a Chamsys MQ60 lighting desk is plugged into the networking system to take over control of the lights.

Overcoming challenges

Due to the size and scale of the venue, the Pulse team had to split the AV control system into separate AV rooms, which are connected together with fiber to act as one singular unit. The venue was divided into 14 different zones, each with its own separate volume control and individual music source selection.

In addition, there was a challenge to hide all the speakers behind cladding and suspended ceiling, so none of them are visible to guests, but to still allow for optimum coverage and frequency distribution.
