Four Points By Sheraton
Pulse Middle East was commissioned to transform the rooftop of Four Points by Sheraton, located on Dubai’s iconic Sheikh Zayed Road, into a standout feature on the city skyline. The goal was to create a high-impact lighting solution that would not only enhance the building’s visibility but also provide an engaging visual experience for visitors and passers-by.
Our design team selected 28 Prolights ARCPOD 27Q fixtures—seven units installed on each side of the rooftop—providing powerful and consistent illumination across all elevations. To enhance guest interaction, two LumiPar 12IP fixtures were strategically positioned as “selfie lights,” allowing visitors to take skyline photos with perfect lighting conditions.
The lighting fixtures were configured in 17-channel mode, enabling independent control of the three LED rows. This allowed us to create dynamic vertical wave effects for a more captivating visual display. All DMX addresses and modes were configured using the DMX RDM protocol, ensuring precise setup and minimal commissioning time.
Each light color was programmed to signify a specific theme or occasion—for example, the rooftop glows pink on Ladies’ Night, instantly creating an inviting ambiance.
The entire system was designed for autonomous operation while also allowing on-demand activation with a single touch-button control. For system control, we integrated Visual Productions’ QuadCore and B-Station 2, providing the hotel with a reliable, user-friendly interface for managing lighting scenes and effects.
The result is a striking rooftop illumination that stands out along Sheikh Zayed Road, enhancing the hotel’s presence both day and night. The installation not only boosts the hotel’s visual identity but also creates an interactive element for guests through the selfie lighting feature and event-specific color themes.
