Nightclub and Restaurant AV Integration
Sound, lighting, video and control for nightclubs, restaurants, beach clubs and hotels, designed and installed from Dubai since 2010.
What we deliver
We design, supply, install, programme and commission audio, lighting, video and control systems for nightclubs, restaurants, bars, beach clubs, hotels and dinner-show venues. Pulse was founded in Dubai in 2010 by Joe Chidiac, and our engineers, programmers, project managers and technicians work from one building in Dubai Investment Park.
Every project draws on the same three capabilities:
- Design and consultancy: site assessment, loudspeaker and lighting layouts, equipment selection, and coordination with the architects and interior designers.
- Supply and integration: equipment supply, installation, networking, DSP tuning, lighting programming and testing.
- Training, servicing and support: operator training at handover, then servicing and support once the venue is trading.
What these venues ask of a system
Dinner service and a club night in the same room
At Billionaire, Mandarin Oriental Downtown, one space hosts fine dining, theatrical shows, guest DJs and late-night entertainment. The audio combines TW AUDiO T20i, M12, M8, B14i, B15, B17i, B18 and BSX with Martin Audio CDD and X Series in the supporting areas, on Powersoft Unica and Quattrocanali amplifiers and a Xilica Solaro DSP platform. An LED wall about 8.3 m wide and 3.8 m high, Panasonic PT-RQ35 4K laser projectors and a motorised Hologauze carry the visuals. One control position runs grandMA3 lighting control, Midas digital consoles, PIXILAB media servers and the automated motion system. The DJ booth has Pioneer CDJ-3000 players and a DJM-A9 mixer.
Agatha is a smaller restaurant and bar with the same requirement. Visual Productions CueCore2 and Cuety LPU-2 controllers recall lighting scenes that move from dinner to evening entertainment, over Martin Audio loudspeakers, TW AUDiO B14i and B15 subwoofers and Powersoft Quattrocanali amplifiers. We ran sound checks at different times of day before opening.
Club output on a short programme
Base in Dubai was installed and running in 23 days: two weeks of site assessment, design and equipment selection, a week of installation, then lighting programming and audio tuning. TPMEA magazine reported on 25 May 2017 that the club, built for about 2,000 people, ran 1,380 Vision Pro Lighting fixtures from a ChamSys MQ500 console, with 180 m² of LED screen and a 115 dB PA built on a TW AUDiO point-source system with Powersoft X Series DSP.
TW AUDiO's own reference for Morjana nightclub in Dubai lists 12 T24P, 14 B30 subwoofers, 4 B15 subwoofers and one BSX infra sub on 12 Powersoft K3 amplifiers, a system co-designed by Joe Chidiac and Rami Haber. Epik in Meydan, covered by Systems Integration Asia in 2024 as a Martin Audio installation, has an equipment list that includes Martin Audio WPM, TW AUDiO T20i and T24N, Powersoft Quattrocanali 4804 DSP+D amplifiers and a ChamSys MagicQ MQ500M Stadium console.
Many zones, run by venue staff
Wavehouse at Atlantis The Palm combines a restaurant, bar, outdoor lounge and theme-park areas. The system covers 11 zones and 25 subzones. We mapped and monitored 108 loudspeakers in Powersoft ArmoníaPlus, routed signals through a Symetrix Radius NX, and networked the venue with Dante AVIO adaptors on two network switches. Design to full integration took four months.
At Nobu, One&Only One Za'abeel, TW AUDiO and Martin Audio loudspeakers are mounted discreetly within Rockwell Group's interior, and staff set sources, volume and preset modes from touchscreens. A 6.88 m × 6.40 m P2.5 LED wall fills the DJ booth; we supplied the display, processing and signal distribution and handled the structural coordination. At SUSHISAMBA Singapore, on Level 52 of Capital Tower, the audio zones are run from Xilica wall controllers or an iPad, and lighting control can be switched from a ChamSys QuickQ 20 console to an iPad so managers can run it themselves.
Sun, salt and water
Beach clubs and terraces need weather-resistant loudspeakers. The equipment list at Bla Bla Dubai includes Martin Audio CDD10W-WR, CDD12W-WR and CDD15W-WR weather-resistant models alongside TW AUDiO T24N, B17i and B18. At Kudadoo, a private-island resort in the Maldives, we routed Roxtone cabling for the tropical environment and used Klark Teknik processing with Symetrix control across public areas, restaurants and private villas. Float, a club on a boat, had a brief that included the marine environment; it runs Martin Audio, TW AUDiO and Vision Pro Lighting.
Screens, sport and shows
At McGettigans, IBIS Novotel Mall, audio from the TV sources runs through the house PA so match sound is clear and in sync, with Vision Video HDMI-over-IP distribution, LD Systems and Martin Audio loudspeakers, Powersoft Unica amplifiers and a Pioneer XDJ-RX3 for DJ sets. For the dinner shows at Dream, Resolume handles video mapping, a ChamSys MagicQ MQ70 runs the Vision lighting, and the audio list includes TW AUDiO VERA20i and T20i with B15, B18 and BSX subwoofers on Powersoft Quattrocanali amplifiers.

- Installation around trading. At XO Club we installed during off-peak hours ahead of the reopening. Installation took two weeks at En Fuego; Wavehouse took four months from design to full integration.
- Programming and commissioning. Lighting cues, DSP tuning and test runs before the venue opens.
- Training and handover. Training at Nobu covered operation, troubleshooting and routine management; staff at Epik were trained on the new systems.
- Servicing and support once the venue is trading.

Questions
What clients ask us
Who installs nightclub sound systems in Dubai?
Pulse Middle East, a Dubai integrator founded in 2010, designs, installs and programmes club systems in-house. We delivered Base in 23 days; TPMEA reported a 115 dB PA on a TW AUDiO point-source system with Powersoft X Series DSP. TW AUDiO's reference for Morjana lists 12 T24P, 14 B30 and 4 B15 subwoofers, one BSX and 12 Powersoft K3 amplifiers. Epik in Meydan runs Martin Audio and TW AUDiO.
Can one sound system handle dinner service and a late-night club in the same venue?
Yes, if it is zoned and has the headroom. At Billionaire, Mandarin Oriental Downtown, TW AUDiO and Martin Audio loudspeakers on Powersoft amplifiers and Xilica Solaro DSP cover fine dining, theatrical shows and guest DJs in one space. At Agatha, Visual Productions controllers recall lighting scenes that move from dinner to evening entertainment, and we ran sound checks at different times of day before opening.
How long does it take to install AV in a nightclub or restaurant?
It depends on scope. Base, which TPMEA put at about 2,000 people, was installed and running within 23 days. Installation at En Fuego and NYX took two weeks each. Wavehouse at Atlantis The Palm, with 11 zones and 108 loudspeakers, took four months from design to full integration. Lucia's UAE and Qatar branches took three months.
Can restaurant staff control the music and lighting without a technician?
Yes. At Nobu, One&Only One Za'abeel, staff choose sources, volume, display functions and preset modes from touchscreens, and our handover training covered operation and troubleshooting. At SUSHISAMBA Singapore, the audio zones are run from Xilica wall controllers or an iPad, and lighting control can be handed from a ChamSys QuickQ 20 console to a manager's iPad.
Do you supply LED screens and projection for restaurants and clubs?
Yes. At Nobu, One&Only One Za'abeel we delivered a 6.88 m × 6.40 m P2.5 LED wall in the DJ booth, including processing, signal distribution and structural coordination. Billionaire has an LED wall about 8.3 m by 3.8 m, Panasonic 4K laser projectors and a motorised Hologauze. At McGettigans, Vision Video HDMI-over-IP distributes the TV feeds and match audio runs through the PA.
Does Pulse work on hospitality venues outside the UAE?
Yes. Our project pages include Voka and Cucina in Riyadh, Genres in Jeddah, Claw BBQ in Doha, Stage in Bahrain, Kudadoo in the Maldives, SUSHISAMBA in Singapore, Mett Hotel in Bodrum, Keg & Barrel in Yerevan and La Vella in Lagos. Our engineers, programmers and project managers are based in one building in Dubai Investment Park.
